These ordinances have passed third reading but haven’t been codified yet. We update our ordinances with Municode in March and September of every year.
1. Ordinance Number 19-20-767 – An Ordinance to Amend Chapter 42-10 of the Edgefield County Solid Waste Ordinance.
2. Ordinance Number 19-20-768 – An Ordinance Providing for the FY 2020-2021 General Operating Budget and Establishing Ancillary Budgets for Debt Service, E-911 Administration, Industrial Park, Solid Waste Disposal, Victims’ Bill of Rights, Emergency Medical Services, Road Maintenance, Tri-County Solicitor, School Resource Officer #1, School Resource Officer #2, School Resource Officer #3, School Resource Officer #4, School Resource Officer #5, Event Security, Sheriff Grants, Clerk of Court Grants, Pre Trial Intervention, SRO Grant, and Criminal Domestic Violence.
3. Ordinance Number 19-20-769 – “An Ordinance Authorizing the Issuance and Sale of a General Obligation Bond, Series 2020, or such other Appropriate Series Designation, of Edgefield County, South Carolina, in the Principal Amount of Not Exceeding $750,000; Fixing the Form and Details of the Bond; Authorizing the County Administrator or his Lawfully Authorized Designee to Determine Certain Matters Relating to the Bind’ Providing for the Payment of the Bond and the Disposition of the Proceeds Thereof; and Other Matters Relating Thereto.”
4. Ordinance Number 19-20-770 – “An Ordinance to Impose, Subject to Referendum Approval and Pursuant to Capital Projects Sales Tax Act, A One Percent (1%) Sales and Use Tax (the “Tax”) within Edgefield County for not more than Eight (8) years; To order a County-Wide Referendum on the Question of Imposing the Tax and to Prescribe the Contents of the Ballot Question’ To Specify the Purposes for Which the Proceeds from the Tax are to be used, the Maximum Time for the Imposition of the Tax; and to Provide for other matters relating thereto.”
